myspace has pretty much become the place to be. everyone has one. fights are started and ended on it without ever actually even having to see your enemy in person. social status is determined by your placement on other users' top friends. even celebrities have a myspace, although it's most likely fake or not run by the actual celebrity but by an assistant of some sort. I've started relationships, friendships, fights, anything you can imagine through myspace. now, myspace has a lot of publicity. sometimes with the news even, and that's never good. all the time, if someone dies from some sort of kidnapping or rape by someone they met on myspace, its myspace's fault. how the helllo is is myspace's fault?? is it myspace's fault that some teenage girl decided she wanted to meet some guy in person that she met on myspace? no. its the girl's fault. we've all been taught not to give out private info on the Internet or meet people we don't know in person. i mean, i feel sorry for myspace. they have to take the blame just because some people are extremely dumb. sorry, that got a bit off the subject of this blog but it really needed to be said. i enjoy myspace very much. and yes, my life pretty much revolves around it. i get jealous when I'm behind some people in a top friends or if the guy i like has his friends that are girls in front of me. i post bulletins telling people to talk, and i take multiple pictures only for the sake of putting them on myspace. but myspace isn't all immaturity. i also use it to keep in touch with my friends from other schools and old friends who moved away. myspace may be the electronic form of a social life, but it is pretty convenient.
